Scene Seven:Fashion Spotlight The God John Galliano

I am most fond of him for his DARING IDEAS AND UNIQUE VISIONS, his clothing tells a story, he finds inspiration for the couture collection from boho-meets-hobo chic. He also finds inspiration from places he visits such as in his John Galliano's Spring-Summer 2004 Haute Couture collection for Christian Dior was themed to his then recent travels to Egypt, clearly representative of the ethnic influences which often shine in his works. He has been quoted as identifying his love of theater and femininity as central to his creations – "my role is to seduce" he has said. Galliano has reputedly cited Charlize Theron as a muse and has been creating couture dresses for her to wear to red carpet events such as the 2006 Academy Awards and the 2005 Golden Globes. Currently, between his own label and Dior, Galliano produces six couture and ready-to-wear collections a year and a new mid-season range under his own name "G Galliano". Recently Galliano is rumored to be collaborating with Jay-Z on the strictly limited collection of Rocawear clothing. If interested you can hit up his website http://www.johngalliano.com/ and view a story line of a MODEL cartoon and her dog (with tha occasional G), and you can also view some of the runway shows. I can honestly sit thru his whole show and every time Im excited with each look ENJOYYYYYYYY

Wonderful post.. I love & appreciate designers who are able to think outside the box as well as create fashions that are not typical and reflect their travels & appreciation for other cultures..
